If you want to awaken all of humanity awaken yourself Gregg Braden fb

If you want to awaken all of humanity awaken yourself Gregg Braden fb“If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.”

Lao Tzu, quoted on Gregg Braden’s facebook page

I think the work of transforming humanity might be easier than self-transformation. It is so clear to me what is wrong with everyone else, but my own inhumanity is hidden from me. Since we are all connected, perhaps I am a microcosm of the whole, and by transforming myself, I will actually transform humanity. It seems the task is sufficient to serve us all.

If you want to LOVE humanity, then LOVE all that is within yourself. Is there anything I find unlovable in the world that I don’t also find unlovable in myself? If I find LOVE in my heart for all my unlovable traits, perhaps I will then find that I am able to LOVE everyone.

I have spent my whole life trying to find someone to LOVE me unconditionally, but so far, only God and Jesus have claimed they do. Will I ever be able to LOVE myself unconditionally? In Love Without End: Jesus Speaks by Glenda Green, Jesus says he loves the unlovable. Early in my search for LOVE, I decided I must be unlovable, and ever since, I have found proof of this in every relationship. If I find a way to LOVE myself, in spite of my flaws, maybe I can find a way to LOVE everyone else, too.

“God, thank you for LOVING us all, no matter how many flaws we have. We know you gave us each strengths as well as flaws, and you promised to LOVE us, no matter what. We forgot that, but near-death experiencers are reassuring us you still do. Help us forgive the unforgivable in ourselves and others and find LOVE in our hearts for us all. Thank you, God. I love you.”
