Wear gratitude lika a cloak and it will feed you

“Always say “yes” to the present moment. What could be more futile, more insane, than to create inner resistance to what already is? What could be more insane than to oppose life itself, which is now and always now? Surrender to what is. Say “yes” to life – and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.”

Eckhart Tolle in The Power Of Now

How many times have I resisted what already is? Many. The mantra for most of my life was “No!” People died, people left me, I had many excuses for not wanting to go along with life. I had even come back from the Other Side when I was two for my father, so he wouldn’t be devastated by my drowning, and then my father died when I was eight. After he died, I didn’t really want to be here.

Today I met someone who says “Yes!” to life, no matter what happens, even though she has lost many loved ones. What an example for me! Near-death experiencers return wanting to live life fully until the end because many of them know how precious life is and that they are here for a purpose. I want to follow in the footsteps of these people. I want to say “Yes!” to life, too.

“God, this life and this earth are amazing opportunities, to live, to LOVE, to create. You gave us free will, both here and on the Other Side, to create the most beautiful selves and world possible. Help me to do this by saying “Yes!” to life and by living a life of LOVE and LIGHT every day. Thank you, God. I love you.”
